I am a kid at heart, just in case it wasn’t obvious to you, so today’s episode was a whole lot of fun for me. I visited Comic Readers, downtown location, which is one of my favorite places to ‘play’. I first found them while looking for a game called Monty Python Fluxx and the manufacturer directed me to Comic Readers. If you’ve never played a Fluxx game, I highly recommend it – it’s a fun party or family game and since the rules are constantly in ‘flux’ anyone can win at any time. I have also gotten board games, novelty items & collectibles there.
Personally, we love the games in the wintertime – we play zombies, Quao, Fluxx, monopoly and my newest game from Comic Readers – Bananagrams!
They do have comic books and graphic novels, which you will find out about in the video, as well as geek Tees, action figures and a ton of plush toys. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about everything pop culture or geek (sorry but it IS geeky). So whether you are shopping for a friend, child, grandchild or yourself – they can help you find what you are looking for!

Then head downtown or to the South Albert store and indulge your inner geek-child! Let me know how you liked my Star trek reference at the very end!
